It's Election day for the Nisga'a nation

The by-election to select a new President of the Nisga'a Lisims government takes place on Thursday with voting to be conducted at a number of locations in British Columbia.

The by election which was required after the passing of former President Nelson Leeson,  features nine candidates are listed as seeking the office of the President.

They include, Arthur R. Azak,  Joseph W. Gosnell Jr., H. Kevin McKay, Paul Arthur Mercer, Herbert B. Morven, Eric C. E. Nyce, Harry F. Nyce Sr., Frances G. Stanley and H. Mitchell Stevens

The Polls are open from 8 am to 8 pm and the voting locations are as follows:

Vancouver CHATEAU GRANVILLE HOTEL – OAK ROOM 110 Granville Street, Vancouver, BC
