Welcome to 2010

Shhh, some our regular readers may not be feeling so well this morning, after the celebrations to bring 2009 to an end.

As we begin a New Year, we hope that 2010 is healthy and prosperous adventure for all, a year to put the disappointments of the previous one firmly in your rear view mirror with a clear road ahead for a brand new year (once the City crews have cleared said road for us right).

For those hearty enough to greet 2010 with some physical activity, there's the New Year's run hosted by the Rupert Runners which gets underway at Noon at the foot of Dry dock Road and George Hills Way, once you've navigated that waterfront course you can head on over to Rushbrook Floats to take part in the Polar Bear Swim (or view the activities from the comfort of the shore, sipping some hot chocolate or other warm beverage of choice).

Or just relax on this first day of the year, charging up your batteries for the journey ahead for the next 365.

Whatever you choose, enjoy the day and all the best for a brand new year.
