Dress to Oppress

It's the chance of a lifetime, you too can dress in the style befitting a dictator, as Augusto Pinochet's son puts a number of his fathers finest suits up on the sale shelf.

The classic line of men's wear date from as far back as 1980 to the more recent stylings preferred in Pinochet's final days. None of the suits are of a ceremonial nature, which means there won't be any braids of gold or other mark of high office. Instead they are described as Pinochet's everyday working suits, the items he might wear out to a dinner or a movie.

A tailor shop in Santiago is handling the sale, with the asking price per suit of 2,000 dollars.

Somewhere out there in the world of kitsch someone is already writing out the cheque...
