Terrace RCMP have a young man in custody after a stabbing Saturday night in the 4600 Block of Haugland Sreet in that city. The woman was found bleeding heavily from multiple stab wounds and later died of her injuries at Mills Memorial Hospital.
A young male was subsequently arrested under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and can't be identified as per the regulations of that act. He and the woman who was killed are reported to have been known to each other.
The North District Major Crime Unit is investigating the death in conjunction with the BC Coroner's Service.
