WEEKEND SALMON FRY RELEASE BIGGEST TO DATE-- Details of the work at the Oldfield Fish Hatchery this weekend past as volunteers release various species of salmon into surrounding waters near Prince Rupert.
Prince Rupert students are still looking for summer employment and the Service Canada Youth Service office has put out the call to local employers to take advantage of their casual labour listings.
And while it sounds like a quaint tradition of the past, Ham Radio enthusiasts still find time to follow their hobby and serve the public, the Daily outlines the latest happenings from the local club which meets every Saturday at the Ocean View Hotel.
The Sports section features a look at the weekends happenings at the golf course and news that the city's annual three on three basketball tournament held at Seafest will now be found in Terrace during that city's Riverboat Days.
