The high waters of Northwest BC will be making camping and recreation area use a little more problematic for the next little while.
The website Terrace Daily on line has posted a report that due to the flooding of the access road and recreation site at Exstew, that site will be closed indefinitely until the situation improves. The Ministry of Tourism and Recreation Sites and Trails BC will be monitoring the situation and assess things as the river levels recede.
The site along Highway 16 west of Terrace is a popular spot for weekend get aways from both the east and the west.
