Just in time for the drive to Terrace...

After a couple of months of pricing stability on the North coast, the yo yo effect in gas prices has begun again.

The warning signs came in a couple of days ago with word that the price of Gasoline had spiked to 1.06 in Prince George.

Today three fifths of Prince Rupert's gas stations increased their price for fuel, with both Petro Canada locations, Hays Cove and the Industrial Park as well as the Chevron boosting their price to 1.05.9 a litre, Husky and Esso have held the line for now at the 98.5 mark.

The increases arrive just as the weekend does, the busiest period of the week for travel by automobile, not to mention the need for fuel for hauling trailers to and from the campgrounds of the Northwest.
