The trains will roll through, but will they stop?

Ben Mesiner on the Opinion 250 website on Thursday, took a look at the euphoria that seems to be greeting the containerization of the North. With the Fairview Port destined to be the landing and shipping point for points Asian, the talk is that the North will be reaping many rewards from the new transit corridor about to be put in place.

Meisner wonders aloud what exactly will be filling those containers and just how many of them will actually be even filled in British Columbia.

With two container yards apparently planned for PG, the thought is that a bounty of jobs is about to arrive in the Northern BC city. Meinser takes a bit of a contrarion view on all of it and his ideas are well worth a read in all the communities that are talking up the containerization of the province.
