It's not the best time for a power failure, but with temperatures dropping inland residents of Terrace and Thornhill are facing the possibility of a night without power.
The lights went out around 630 on Saturday night, affecting much of the downtown area, Thornhill and areas to the east along Highway 16.
News reports out of Terrace so far have not listed any cause for the loss of power to the city, BC Hydro at the moment is hopeful that they will have the power returned by 9 pm tonight.
Tonight's forecast in the Terrace area is for a low of -20 with a wind chill to feel like -33.
The BC Hydro outage map, provides a graphic outlining the scope of the outage, with the downtown area affected and then major portions to the east. The BC Hydro website also details some of the areas affected by list.
