PASADENA, CA, United States (UPI) -- Iconic U.S. game show host Bob Barker says despite his 50 years on television, he appears to be best known for his role in 'Happy Gilmore.'
The 84-year-old Barker, who is set to retire this summer, admitted his lengthy career on 'The Price is Right' is constantly overshadowed by his notable small part in the 1996 Adam Sandler comedy film, the New York Daily News reported.
'I`ve been in television for 50 years, and what am I going to be remembered for?' Barker said. '`The price is right, bitch!` if I`m remembered at all.'
'I was in that movie 10 years ago,' he added, 'but I don`t tape a show that someone in the audience doesn`t bring up `Happy Gilmore.`'
Barker also confessed he decided to retire this year not only due to his advanced age and failing health, but also due to the success surrounding his long-running series.
'We`re way up there in the ratings, right on top,' he admitted. 'And we have people lined up, sleeping out there on the sidewalk, to see our show. And I want to go out on top.'
