Caught in the cookie jar!

Good thing that the slogan for the Girl Scouts isn't "Do Your Best", cause one Girl Scout Leader isn't living up to the credo.

A Girl Scout (they apparently don't call then Guides in the USA) leader in Delaware, Ohio has been relieved of her duties and faces charges of theft after being charged with theft over 5,000 dollars. By the time she was caught, she had left her troop with a balance of only 8 dollars in their bank account.

The Scout Leader apparently took the large sum of money out of fundraising efforts through cookie sales and other activities to pay for cell phone bills and other personal expenses. It's going to take a lot of cookie sales to bring back 5,000 dollars any time soon.

Not sure if the Girl Scouts work on badges like the Cubs and Scouts do, but if so, a larceny badge would be a cinch for troop 225!
