Earthquake encore for the Charlottes

Picking up where things left off last week, another earthquake has taken place just south of the Queen Charlotte Islands, in much the same location as the short swarm of the temblors last week.

The most recent one took place on Wednesday morning at 6:40 am, registering at 6.1 on the Richter scale.

Last week six earthquakes took place within six hours ranging from 4.2 to 6.5.

No notice of tsunami alert has been issued by the Pacific Tsunami centre.
