Gas Prices back on the way up?

It's been a good run at 116.9 but all good things apparently must come to an end.

Like a slowly rising tide, the price of gas seems destined to move upwards as reports out of Prince George have it that prices there have gone up overnight, prices there jumped up five cents from 114.9 to 119.9 today.

The price of gasoline seems set to go back up locally this weekend as well, with the local Petro Canada station first to the board, posting a price of 118.9 last evening.

Time to dust off the old gouge o meter we guess, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives has done the math for us and determined that at 1.18 consumers would be paying 20.4 cents a litre in pure profit to Canada's gasoline giants..

Update: the Noon hour pricing on Thursday at Petro Can had jumped to 122.9 cents a litre.
