D'oh No. Say it isn't so! No Simpson's here!

Podunk has never lived up to its dictionary definition more than it does today.

As the most anticipated movie of the year opens seemingly everywhere but here!

The Simpson’s The Movie; the trials and tribulations of Homer and the family opens in theatres in most of North America today. And for Podunkians, a desire to see how the Simpson’s fare will require a road trip.

This week’s new rotation of movies finds the Prince Rupert Cinema’s providing Chuck and Larry, Hairspray and Harry Potter for our theatrical entertainment. While Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and the cast of thousands of Springfield will be found on the big screen in Terrace!

Oh the shame of it all…

Like gov't jobs and shopping facilities, once again Terrace has beaten Rupert to the punch, a cycle that never seems to be broken!

The Twin Tillicum theatres feature show times of 7:15 and 9:30, so once again Highway 16 will face a heavy traffic flow eastward.

While we’re sure that the movie will eventually make it to our theatre, this disappointment is almost more than the soul can bear!

After having counted down the debut of the long delayed production Simpson’s feature, Podunkians now have to wait a little longer.

Or, dare we say it, make a trip to our version of Shelbyville to enjoy the antics of the world’s most dysfunctional family.
