A trilogy for Mothers Day
Well we can't let Mother's Day pass by without a musical interlude for all the Mama's out there.
We scoured the You Tube universe for those heart warming tales of endearment for the Mothers of our Podunkian readership.
We start the trio of Mama music with the soulful tunes of Boys II Men, and A song for Mama, one of those three hankie tunes that your Mama will just love
Now that you're feeling all weepy and feeling good, a reminder that Motherhood has its struggles, here's a song from Merle Haggard about how "Mama tried" to turn around that wayward rebel child...
We wrap the trilogy up with a seriously strange song for Mama from Genesis. You can study this one for hours trying to make sense of Phil and the boys and their uh, relationship with Mama... With its ominous techo drum beat we think more Hitchcock than Hallmark on this one!
Here's hoping that for the most part, this Mothers' Day travelled along the Boys II Men path and not our follow up selections, be a real shame to break your Mother's heart on her big day..
