Sunday's winds have forced a change to the schedule for Northern Adventure's sailing to Haida Gwaii.
BC Ferries issued a Service Notice at 6 pm on Sunday, advising that due to severe weather conditions the Northern Adventure was holding in dock at Prince Rupert. The vessel will wait out the Sunday night storm on the Rupert side of Hecate strait, with an anticipated departure time (weather dependent) now listed of 8 am Monday, with a 2 pm arrival at Skidegate.
Sunday's overnight forecast calls for up to 50 mm of rain and winds gusting from the south from 60 to 80 kilometres per hour in the overnight period.
You can find updated details on the sailing delay from the BC Ferries Service website.

That is a pretty big storm coming your way!
No not really just a windy day with a bit of rain, but whenever the Ferry is tied up and delayed it's always a helpful thing to advise when it will be back on schedule.
