Another day, another weather warning

With the power finally restored to most areas and northwest residents finishing up some of their repairs  from Sunday's windstorm, Environment Canada comes along with a heads up that more wind is on the way.

A Wind Warning was issued at 4:48 a.m. for Haida Gwaii and the North coast for Wednesday, calling for southeast winds of 80 to 100 km/h developing this evening.

A rapidly deepening low pressure system is heading towards Haida Gwaii bringing the potentially damaging winds to the Islands and north coast.

The winds are expected to abate early Thursday morning as the low pressure system moves towards the north.

Rain accumulations with the oncoming system could be up to 55 mm by Thursday evenings

For those heading out on the waters around Prince Rupert storm warnings have been issued for the Pacific Northwest Marine Forecast.

Details on all of the forecast items can be found below.
