The Road out (or in for that matter) is open!


The Drive BC website is advising that highway 16 between Port Edward and Terrace was re-opened today

There are a few washouts along the way that have to be navigated, necessitating one lane and one way alternating traffic at times, with expected delays of 20 minutes or so.

THE FLOOD waters of the Skeena River have receded enough west of Terrace to allow single-lane traffic to flow.

The highway was opened at noon today.

Water from the Skeena had flooded a number of sections of the highway, particularly along the Shames Flat stretch.
