Prince Rupert residents are asked to use a bit of conservation of their natural gas supplies as Pacific Northern Gas works to fix a ruptured line west of Terrace.
The rupture in a remote area that isn't accessible by road has been examined by PNG officials and they are working out the logistics to bring in the equipment by air to fix the problem as soon as possible.
The Terrace Daily online website had a few details on the break in the line, and radio stations in Terrace and Rupert have been running reports on the rupture for most of the day. The CFTK website offered up the following on it's portal.

Pacific Northern Gas is using a helicopter to take crews to fix the ruptured line between Prince Rupert and Terrace . The break- located 50 kilometres west of Terrace- can't be reached by road.
Operations Manager Craig Sears says the line burst under pressure from floodwaters and should be fixed within the next few days.
Prince Rupert residents and industry are encouraged to conserve, but Sears says there should be enough gas in the line to last out the next few days.
