When the first of three new BC Ferries slip from the dock in Germany in September, they’ll be featuring a pretty splashy paint job, designed to showcase the 2010 Olympics of Vancouver/Whistler.
The first of which leaves Germany on September 21 and it’s going to be a slow boat to Vancouver, before the vessels transit the Panama Canal the plan is to have some sail into London to spread the word of 2010. After the Panama Canal transit takes place, promotional stops are planned for Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle all designed to remind the world that they’re invited to Vancouver in the winter of 2010.
The debut of the Coastal Renaissance the first of the vessels in BC waters will be sometime in mid November, its first date of active service will be in January of 2008.
