9/11 to be remembered on television

This week will see a stream of television programs commemorating the horrors of September 11, 2001. It was one of those "where were you" moments around the world, the day that terror struck in the heart of America. And the news media and television networks have great plans to recapture those days of horror five years later.

CNN plans on running the original programming of that day five years ago on their pipeline service on the internet. No doubt NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX AND PBS will all follow suit with their own television specials and documentaries through the week to come, not to mention the likes of Discovery Channel, Civilization and such.

The Salon website has done a fine job of compiling information on the upcoming onslaught of commemorative pieces and spells out the five best (in their opinion) of the bunch. Though there will be many. many more to view between today and September 12th.
