As summer turns to fall, the bloggers return!

Two weeks ago it was seanincognito returning to the word processor, this week we discover that Rick Mercer has once again sharpened that wit on the world wide web.

Mercer, who of course is the host of, ta da, the Rick Mercer Report, took a rather lengthy break from blogging, with a gap from April to September in his postings. What is he from France or something? (they take long holidays there you see, oh never mind if I have to explain...).

But with a new season of the Mercer Report set to begin on October 3rd on the CBC, he's back to blogging from the comfy confines of his cubicle at the Mother Corp Mother Ship.

And well, it's a damn good thing, since we need a lot more of his take on the world these days.

He's off to a rip roaring start in his blogging return, with a great bit of theatre over the idea of Jack Layton hosting the Taliban for a conference and his review of the recent Liberal leadership debate on Sunday in Vancouver. Good God, somebody watched that snorefest, on their own time and their own dime??

What a patriot.

At any rate, check out his blog here from time to time, there's some great material no doubt percolating in his mind as we write this. Here's hoping that he can keep to a more regular blogging schedule, perhaps some Metamucil would help!

In the meantime we can't wait for the debut of the new season of Mercer, there's so much waiting to be satirized and so many waiting to be eviscerated.
