While the downtown stations in the city were holding the fort at 1.02 this morning, Petro Canada had already moved the price of gas at the pump up to 1.06. Higher than we've seen for a while here, but if the stories coming out of the lower mainland are any indication, that price at the pump is only going to head upwards.
With Spring break set to begin with the end of school on Friday, and many families ready to hit the road for a mini vacation, many observers feel that the price per litre may go up even further. In fact Vancouver pricing apparently is already on the rise.
The CBC has an interesting story on the seemingly ever increasing price of gas, if it's any consolation for Podunkians, Vancouver pump prices are topping out at 1.14 a litre for regular gas.
So, if you're hanging on empty, this might be the window to fill up your tank before the Northwest plays catch up with their cousins to the south.
