10CC-- Wall Street Shuffle

With the world fixated on that roller coaster ride of the global stock exchanges, we decided to head back to the early seventies and one of England's progressive Art bands of the era and their tribute to greed and economic indicators.

10CC came across to North America as the wave of British groups of the seventies that seemed to define a more progressive direction for rock music, much like Genesis, Supertramp, ELO and such, their music was layered in synthesizers as well as guitars and made for a readily identifiable sound.

Though their success seemed to be overshadowed at the time by such global superstars as Queen and David Bowie

In later years, long after 10cc had been placed in the history books of British rock, Godley and Creme would take those formative sounds and ideas and transform the quickly dominating era of the music video.

From Wall Street Shuffle to Cry, the tracks of the British progressive movement can be traced through much of their work past and present.
