Civic Centre host to first annual All Native film festival

As part of the celebrations surrounding the 50th anniversary of the All Native Basketball Tournament, the City is hosting a film festival from February 7 to 12, with a number of feature films and documentaries set for viewing at newly created Civic Centre theatre.

The city has turned one of the old squash courts into a fifty seat viewing room, having accessed funding for the modifications the city has modified the space to feature a set of enlarged double doors, the latest in projection and sound equipment as well as a movie screen that is 16 feet wide.

Films will be running from 10 am to 9 pm on most days of the tournament. The city's website features details of the first annual film festival as well as details on the plans for the newly created viewing space and collection of films for after the tournament has concluded.
