City Council scoresheet January 12, 2009


While not quite a regular feature, the Daily News occasionally provides a review of the vote on some of the key issues for the regular City Council meetings.

They provided one for the January 12th meeting, focusing on three questions that they felt commanded the most attention for Rupertites. The feature appeared in the Wednesday, January 14 edition of the paper on page five.

Question One-- That the City of Prince Rupert provide a letter of support for the City of Prince Rupert's "Russell Gamble Gymnasium Seating Project" to access funds from the City of Prince Rupert notional allocation of the Northwest Regional Development Account of the Northern Development Initiative as a grand in the amount of $30,000.

Question Two-- To instruct staff to prepare a bylaw to amend Zoning Bylaw 2211, 1980 to increase the minimum lot area to approximately 1400 Sq. meter or larger in a two family residential zone section 4.2.5, and for the area specified in the petition.
