Over the weekend there was a tragic fire in Winnipeg, Manitoba two veteran fire fighters, Captain Thomas Nichols and Captain Harold Lessard lost their lives and a number of other fire fighters were seriously injured in the blaze.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service has received numerous calls and e mails expressing condolences for the tragedy. So many have come in, that the Fire Paramedic Service has set up an on line book of remembrance.
Already a good number of Canadians and Americans have taken the time to express a few words, highlighting the great regard that society has for those that face danger with every call.
