Slate magazine had introduced a new feature to it's website, a project that harkens back to the days of the newsreel. Those two minute snippets of world events that passed for Breaking news in the days before the 24 hour news cycle on the likes of Fox or CNN.
Called the NewsLit Newsreel, it features the events of today as though Walter Winchell would present them.
They kick off their review with a look back at January 2007, a fine month for news.
