The unsolved cases of missing and murdered women along highway 16 is one of the highest profile crimes in Northern BC and one of the most frustrating and worrisome situations for the victims families, authorities and northern BC communities.
With that in mind, the RCMP has announced that it will hold an update on its Investigation into the Highway 16 (Highway of Tears) murders and disappearances.
The information session is to take place at the North District Headquarters in Prince George.
The RCMP were quick to advise that no arrests or charges have been laid in the course of the investigation and it would seem that the session planned for Friday is to be more of an overview of the process thus far, as opposed to providing details about any major breaks in the mysterious cases.
The murders and dissappearances over the last few years have left many in the North wary of what is going on along the Highway 16 corridor and anxious to have some kind of answers provided by authorities.
The announcement was posted on the RCMP website yesterday.
