Unfounded rumours certainly made life interesting in Russia the last few days. An unexplained disappearance of Presidential candidate Ivan Rybkin has been cleared up. Rybkin apparently felt the need to "get away" for a bit and visit some friends in the Ukraine.
Apparently Rybkin is one of those just get up and go guys. Neglecting to tell anyone of his plans, or of his timetable. he resurfaced today expressing shock that anyone felt that he had come into harm.
Rybkin who is an outspoken critic of current President Putin plans on returning to Russia today, to continue his floundering campaign for the Presidency. Despite heavy financing from offshore Russians, he has not exactly caught the fancy of the Russian electorate. His current poll status is less than one percent. Which come to think of it. is probably the political equivalent of being on a missing person list.
