This is progress?

The internet has changed the way we live our lives, information is passed from home to home in mere seconds. We can share stories, learn information and find help at the click of a mouse. There must be millions, if not billions of things you can find on the net. Many good, quite a few bad.

And with all those options available to us, what has been the most sought after item on the net?

Janet Jackson's boob, yes with all the fall out over her over exposure at the Super bowl, the falling out boob has set a new internet search record. After her Half time unveiling, we apparently raced for our computers and sought out the controversial body part, searches for Janet have left the likes of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and even Super Bowl MVP Tom Bardy in the dust.

The previous one time hit record on the internet was the September 11, 2001 attack on America. It is indeed sad, to think that a self promoting incident such as Ms. Jackson's would tweak our collective interest over important issues.

Sure there is the kind of interest you exhibit when passing a car wreck, you slow down and take a look if driving by. But do you leave home and drive across town to take a look, not normally, why would we do the same on the net?
