It's the economy...

As the stock markets shuddered and the politicians scrambled to find some kind of answer to the world's financial troubles, we figure it probably is time for us to chronicle some of the developments from the voodoo world of economics, investment and high finance.

We'll track some of our favourite writers on the topic and add any other items we stumble across as we all stumble along the path of financial perdition.
The plan is to pick up the story with this weekends meetings in Washington and then back track over the last couple of weeks as the markets spiralled downwards and the financial pinch became tighter and tighter.
