Council to meet in special sessions today

The notice posted to the city's website is rather cryptic and a tad uninformative, an advisory that Council will gather in special session tonight at 7:30. At which time council will outline their thoughts on the work done by their request from the September 8th meeting.

That meeting follows an in house closed session to be held at 5 pm today, which will see council provided with information regarding sections of the community charter.

In particular section 90 (c) labour relations or other employee relations.

And from 90 (i) the receipt of of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.

The anticipation of the chat forum portal of htmf, is that perhaps some closure will be brought to the Tannalee Hesse hiring controversy, and with that once again has been issued the call to fill city hall for tonight's session.

It will be with interest that we wait for further developments and information from tonight's session, a rather exciting bit of theatre for what for all intents is a lame duck city council until November.
