Lenny Kravitz--The Resurrection
Easter isn't quite the same as Christmas when it comes to musical interludes for our Podunkian Music Club, there's here comes Peter Cottontail, or the Easter Parade, but by and large the selections based on the concept of the weekend are rather slim.
While conducting our extensive search for musical possibilities, we stumbled across this 1985 Lenny Kravitz offering, an interesting interpretation of the story of Easter, put together with Lenny's unmistakable sound.
From the guitar that brought us American Woman, Are you gonna go my way and Fly away, most recently calling for us to share in a Love Revolution, Kravitz takes us back in time with his almost mystical review of the focus of the day at hand.
Certainly a bit different focus than the rabbit of the day receives that's for sure.
Artist--Lenny Kravitz
Recording--Circus
