PR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CELEBRATES BUSINESS EXCELLENCE -- The finalists are named and the preparations for the celebration are almost complete as the Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce gets ready for its gala celebration of February 27th.

The Daily News didn't look too far to find someone to test out the Prince Rupert imagery refinements to Google View, Monday it seems was Keith Lambourne day at the paper, as the local realtor and regular newspaper contributor was the featured subject of the Google story to go along with his bottom of the front page and page three advertisements for realty services in the city. Local "technology expert" Miguel Borges also provided some feedback on the new on line look for Rupert's street scenes.

Old fashioned pictures also played a prominent role in the Monday paper, with two front page pictorial tributes one on the opening of the All Native Basketball Tournament and another featuring yet another appearance of Mayor Jack Mussallem at a local school, seemingly an ongoing theme for his appointment calendar these days.

The Sports section featured a full court press if you will on the All Native Tournament with three pages of material dedicated to the tournament with a fourth page providing details of the Senior girls basketball shocker which saw Mount Elizabeth from Kitimat lay claim to the AA Zones over the weekend, mention was also made of Canada's historic home grown Gold medal victory of Sunday.
