Kelly Clarkson, the Diva of the American Idol crowd is apparently a little put off by her former svengalis.
Clarkson has refused to allow the Fox show to use her music, as the latest crew of wannabe pop stars warble and over emote the lyrics to the songs they think will send them off to greater glory.
It's nothing personal you see, she's not letting anyone use her music just yet, says her PR flack who probably is in the unenviable position of having to take phone calls from irate Idol officials. Clarkson's attachment to the show that made her apparently began to wane a few years ago.
She fired Idol creator Simon Fuller, who was at the time handling her career, despite a steady climb to the top of the pop charts she dumped him and moved on to a new direction. Since then she has still fared rather well, her most recent hit "Since U been gone" has attracted not only monetary riches but critical respect.
None the less, her spurning of that which made her a star, is not sitting well with one particular Idol heavyweight. American Idol judge Simon Cowell suggests the gal is a tad misguided in her disdain for the Idol brand and basically she has forgotten how she got to the place she is now at.
Perhaps the lyrics from her monster hit will tell the tale of her feelings for Cowell et al. "Here's the thing, we started out friends. It was cool, but it was all pretend. Yeah yeah, since you been gone. You had your chance, you blew it Out of sight, out of mind Shut your mouth I just can't take it Again, and again, and again, and AGAIN!!!!!!!......... "
