Hey, feeling a little run down? That ole flu starting to sap your energy? Well grab a dose of TamiFlu and put some cash into Donny's bank account.
Donald Rumsfeld, who when he's not busy running the affairs of the military machine of the world's only remaining super power, is busy counting the coins from some smart stock market picks.
Investors of Gilead Sciences, of which Rumsfeld is one, are finding the current panic over Bird flu is sending thousands of people in quest of their product. Rumsfeld is owner of stock valued at somewhere between 5 and 25 million dollars, and with a stock price increase of 12 dollars in the last six months his holdings are only increasing in value. There's some serious coin in those aches and sniffles.
If Gilead were smart they would take further advantage of Rumsfeld's high profile, how about some commercials with a tag line "recommended by Doctor Don". That would surely help give a further boost the sales of the shots.
Indeed, the more we feel crummy, the better it is for Rummy.
