B.C.'s mines ministry has issued a permit clearing the way for Adanac Moly Corp. to build a $414-million molybdenum mine at Ruby Creek near Atlin.
The open-pit mine is expected to create about 250 operational jobs and 550 jobs during construction. It's expected construction will take two years and that mine life will be about 20 years. B.C. gave the project an eco-assessment certificate last year following an environmental review in which the Taku River Tlingit First Nation was an active participant.
