So imagine you're one of the suits at HBO, you have what you hope will be a hot new show, maybe something to bring back the fond heartwarming memories that the Sopranos generated.
Only problem is, you might not want to go in the same direction as the fellow who brought you the idea in the first place.
So, Hollywood being Hollywood, somebody is going to be cut loose.
Enter Sonny Barger, founder of the Hells Angels motorcycle club and budding program developer suddenly tossed to the sidelines the latest victim of Hollywood's dog eat dog world.
Sonny had apparently provided an outline of what is now called "1 per cent", an HBO drama about a motorcycle gang feauring the meanest, baddest dudes in Arizona. HBO apparently found it to their liking, brought in a hot shot producer and have begun the preparations to start filming, though Sonny will apparently no longer make up any percentage of "1 Per cent".
Needless to say he's a tad unhappy at the developments and has decided to make a move of his own, grabbing a lawyer and heading to court. Not impressed with the aura of double dealing that he's had to deal with from Hollywood.
Somehow, we envision this situation would have turned out a little differently had it been part of the script....
