With the exception of the 7-11 Esso which was still posting 1.04 at 4:30 this afternoon, the price of gas has increased in Prince Rupert.
The remaining Prince Rupert stations downtown followed Petro Cans two day lead in with gas retailing at 1.06 per litre.
With oil about to reach 100 dollars a barrel and a long weekend on the way, we'll probably be paying that 1.06 for a little while into the future and perhaps seeing the prices rise even further.
If it's any consolation, for the first time in a long time, our gas prices were actually lower than some posted in Prince George, where Opinion 250 reports gas selling at 1.07.
Local gas providers are asked to please disregard the above line, lest they get any ideas....
