Geez, would I ever like to work there!

The Globe and Mail's Office blog has discovered an interesting website that lists the 57 best fictional companies that we might want to work for.

Jobacle has put together a work in progress list in no particular order, which has taken stock of the job market in the fictional lands of television and movies and come up with the job sites where happiness and good times may be found.

Among some of the favourites are: H.A.L. Labs, 2001, Bluehound Bus Line, WKRP, Moe's Tavern and The Stay Puft Corporation to name a few.

Web surfers can add their own contributions to that list by scrolling down to the bottom of the web page and naming their favourite would be employer.

Or, they can jump on board the Office blog's Canadian version, the Globe site is taking submissions for the best fictional Canadian work site, perhaps you'd like to spend time at the Corner Gas service station, hang out with the gang from Da Vinci's inquest (as a participant and not the subject we assume) or the working the till at the general store North of 60 .

Me, I'd like to hang out with gang from Pyramid / Prodigy Productions, an office made famous by Made in Canada, the CBC satirical comedy about television of a few years ago.

After all spending time with Rick Mercer, Leah Pinsent et al, seems like a perfectly uproarious way to kill off a work day and you get to listen to Tragically Hip tunes at work as well...

You can submit your choice to the globe site and pick your favourite fictional co-workers, a much better deal than putting up with the real thing...
