Hmmm, symbolism from Canada Post?

Not wanting to make too much of this (after all I still like to get mail, I could however do without the bills mind you) but can't help but think that some will find the irony in the idea of Canada Post saluting the year of the Pig, just as they raise the cost of mail again...

The stamps introduced on Friday, celebrate the Chinese New Year which starts off on February 18, and feature the new rates of 52 cents for domestic and $1.55 for international mail. Canada Post gets a head start on the money making however, by putting the stamps into service on January 15th when the new rates take effect.

The official blurb on the Year of the Pig includes such things as trustworthiness and dependability, which make for a nice vision of where the post office might wish to be considered.

Sure beat that other visage of the animal, something about fat, greedy, etc...
