Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to one and all, usually a day of the green, in podunk it's apparently the Day of the White. No better excuse to stay in and down some Guinness, makes the snow shoveling a bit easier to take!

For Canadians of Irish extraction here's an interesting site full of Irish lore and achievements in the new land. Many attempted to make the journey to Canada but never quite got to live the life they thought was ahead, here's a link to the memorial to the people of Grosse Ile.

For those looking for a taste of the Old land, check out these links to explore the world of the Irish as they celebrate the Big Day!

As usual the bloggers bring us a perspective of life in far flung places that the mainstream media never seems to capture. Some of it is foolish, some of it informative but for the most part it's an interesting and at times fascinating look at life over on that other Island. We offer up some of the more interesting ones that we have stumbled across over the last little while.
