HST will remain a hot topic..even next year says MLA-- The MLA for the North coast, Gary Coons outlines his thoughts on the HST debate, which he says will still resonate with province residents next year when it comes up for referendum (see article here) (Sahar Nassimdoost provided this report on Coons thoughts for the TV 7 newscast of Thursday.)

Log truck fire threatened forest areas on Nisga'a Hwy-- Concerns over a logging truck which caught fire on the Nisga'a highway, highlight the curious nature of responding to requests for help outside of fire protection areas in the northwest (see article here)

It's full speed ahead for new Kitimat smelter-- The Kitimat economy which has been hard hit of late with the closure of the Eurocan mill, received a bit of positive news this week with the latest developments on the Kitimat smelter modernization project (see article here)
