Economic Development ideas from Prince Rupert, there's money in  those traffic fines for Prince Rupert and an inquest into a police involved shooting set for Smithers in the fall, sone of the items of note for Friday's news files.

Northwest Communities Receive Millions in Provincial Funding -- Prince Rupert receives the second highest amount of funding under a provincial program which provides money culled from the Traffic Fine Revenue Sharing program and Small Community and Regional District Grants (see article here)

Inquest Announced into Death of Rodney Jackson -- The police involved shooting of Rodney Jackson in September will be the focus of an inquest in Smithers later this year (see article here)
