With the BC Legislature now shut down until after the provincial election in May, we can officially sound the starting gun for the 2009 provincial campaign.
Though realistically, the race for seats in Victoria has probably been going on for the last month or so and judging by the appearance of a few of the candidates it will make for a much documented campaign on the North Coast.
As the campaign begins to heat up, the topic of submitted photos to the local daily Newspaper seems to have become a bit of a controversial aspect of the campaign. Suddenly smiling photo ops have been popping up throughout the Daily News through the month of March and now into April.
Like the flower count heralds the arrival of spring, the Daily News photo count seems to have heralded the arrival of campaign 2009.
So for those that are counting down the days to Election Day (and the photos to go with it) our scoreboard of the photographed as catalogued in the daily paper. We travel back to Monday, March 2nd to begin the count, join us as we thumb through the pages of our campaign photo album and tabulate the appearances.
