They aren't laughing with you there Madame GG

The current controversry over incredibly dumb bureaucratic bungling in the Governor General's office, is broken down nicely by Mark Critch of 22 minutes.

In a short 22 minutes piece, he explains the remarkable lack of sanity and incredulous happenings out some pencil pusher at Rideau Hall that so far has denied slain Ontario constable Chris Garrett a medal of valour.

The constable was denied what should be a given, because the trial of the man who killed him took too long, and his name could not be presented into consideration until after the deadline of two years.

To Critch's credit, since this first appeared on 22 minutes one week ago, close to 30,000 Canadians have signed the petition and the Prime Ministers office has stepped in to perhaps provide a helping hand. One of the duties of the Prime Minister is to offer the Queens representative some advice from time to time.

This apparently is one of those times....

If for some reason incompetent regal bureaucracy should continue to rule the day, perhaps a call to her boss is in order?
