Where Acropolis Manor now stands today, once was nothing but a clearing of land, which at times attracted large crowds which gathered for reasons that aren't particularly clear.
Perhaps it was to be closer to the Sun, perhaps they were just staking out a space at the eventual long term care facility. But from this picture from 1911 they just look like a huge crowd, maybe just angry over rising taxes, after all, some things may never change.
