Snowy road conditions, blowing snow and perhaps too much speed for the conditions resulted in a horrific accident between Vanderhoof and Prince George today, as a Chevy Cavalier collided with a semi truck around the Cluculz area of the highway.
All five occupants of the Cavalier were killed in the crash which took place at around 10 am today. The Prince George Free Press has identified them as being residents of Burns Lake, though there has not been any confirmation as of yet.
It was the most tragic of a day of accidents in and around the Prince George area, which saw bridges closed and traffic diverted due to the inclement weather.
