It’s a rather nasty looking thing and certainly would prove to be a most deadly armament if unleashed among the worlds arm traders (and those with less than defensive intentions).
But one must ask, does the world really need a gun that can fire bullets or grenades at the rate of one million per minute (more if you group them together in pods!!)?
The answer is apparently yes, in some quarters at least. The designers of the Metal Storm, have been approached by spies from China to move from their Australian homes to Beijing, bringing along the plans and prototypes with them of course.
The Metal Storm apparently is fired by electronic impulses and has no moving parts, which apparently mean no stoppages, just one million rounds of lead (or whatever) per minute.
We’ve certainly come a long way from the days of clubs, sabres and muskets!
Although it would seem that sometimes change isn’t necessarily for the best, nor in our best interests. In a world that supposedly was heading for star wars like laser weapons and such, this seems positively Medeival by comparison.

Sometimes you just have to wonder where the world is going and if we really want to follow along!
